How Gemplore Compares
to Where You Sell Today
Honest, evidenced comparisons - including the real advantages the alternatives still have. We're pre-launch, and we're not going to pretend otherwise.
Best Places to Sell Gemstones Online
If you're weighing where to list a gemstone, here's an honest look at three real options - including the two we don't have the same advantages as yet. We're pre-launch, so we're not going to pretend Gemplore already has the audience eBay or Etsy have built over years.
Gemplore
A marketplace built specifically for coloured gemstones - every listing admin-reviewed before it goes live, KYC-verified sellers, and structured gemological data across 19 treatment types, 10 certification labs, and 31 origin countries. No transaction fee on a sale. The real tradeoff: Gemplore is pre-launch, so the buyer audience the other platforms already have isn't there yet.
eBay
Enormous existing traffic and payment handled end-to-end on-platform. The gap: eBay's own Authenticity Guarantee program explicitly excludes Loose Gemstones, and certification claims in that category are self-reported in listing titles with no platform-side check.

Near-zero cost to list and Etsy's own payment system built in. The gap: Etsy's gemstone category pages have no filters for treatment, certification lab, clarity, or origin - only generic commerce filters like price and Star Seller status.
