Terms of Service

Last updated: 7 July 2026

Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Gemplore, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.

Account Types

Gemplore supports four account types: Viewer (browse, save, and inquire), Individual Seller (list gems under your own name), Professional Dealer (list gems under a registered business), and Admin (platform moderation). You choose your account type at registration.

Eligibility & Verification

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Selling on Gemplore requires identity verification - see our Verification Process page for what that involves. We may reject or revoke verification at our discretion if submitted documents appear fraudulent or inconsistent.

Listings & Content Standards

All listings must comply with our Seller Guidelines, including accurate treatment disclosure, honest photography, and genuine certification documents. Every listing is reviewed by our platform team before publication, and we may reject, unpublish, or request changes to any listing at our discretion.

Privacy Levels & Access Requests

Sellers may set a listing's visibility to Public, Price Hidden, or Private (request-only). Approving or denying an access request to a Private listing is entirely at the seller's discretion.

Promotions & Payments

Sellers may purchase optional promotion packages (Featured Listing, Premium Listing, Homepage Spotlight, and others) at flat prices. Payment is processed securely by PayPal. Most packages activate automatically once payment is confirmed; International Boost campaigns are reviewed by our team before activation. Promotion purchases are non-refundable once a campaign has started, except where required by law.

Off-Platform Transactions

Gemplore does not process payment for gem purchases, hold funds in escrow, or arrange shipping. Once a buyer and seller connect, negotiation, payment, and delivery are handled directly between them. See our Buyer Protection Policy for guidance on transacting safely.

Prohibited Conduct

You may not misrepresent a stone's treatment, origin, or certification; upload certificates that don't belong to the listed stone; include personal contact details in public listing fields; create duplicate listings; or otherwise attempt to circumvent our verification or review processes.

Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the photos, descriptions, and content you upload, but grant Gemplore a licence to display it on the platform. The Gemplore name, logo, and platform design are our property and may not be used without permission.

Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, our Seller Guidelines, or applicable law, up to and including permanent suspension for confirmed violations.

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Gemplore facilitates discovery and connection between buyers and sellers but is not a party to any transaction between them. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any listing beyond our own review process, and we are not liable for disputes, losses, or damages arising from transactions conducted off-platform.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Gemplore is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Gemplore after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
